Established in 1958 and named after Sir Arcot Ramaswami Mudaliar, founder-president closely associated with Tube Investments of India, this co-educational Tamil Nadu State Board school teaches about 1,879 students in grades 6-12 through both Tamil and English mediums. Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam attended its golden jubilee celebration as chief guest in October 2008.
