Founded in 1946 and the oldest institution in the Ashok Hall Group of Schools, MBSV began as a playschool and grew into a long-established ICSE/ISC girls' school in south Kolkata that is now transitioning to a fully co-educational intake. It offers Nursery through Class XII. The group states it was the first school in Kolkata certified to ISO 9001:2015.
