Tracing its origins to 1842 in the East India Company era, this co-educational Anglo-Indian school on Anna Salai was recognised as a European School after its boys' and girls' schools merged in 1905. It teaches Classes 1-10 under the Anglo-Indian School Leaving Certificate stream and Classes 11-12 under the Tamil Nadu State Board, having gained high-school status in 1947 and a higher secondary section in 1985-86.
